My gear is basically shit atm, but with a bit luck I hope I get the drops I need from heroics.
Playing Times
What are your normal playing hours? How many days per week (Monday-Friday) are you regularly available to raid?
From Monday to Friday I usually come online around 16:00 and play to around 00:00-01:00. I am available to raid every day except on thursdays. I got work really early on fridays so I go to bed earlier on thursdays.
Previous Guilds
In TBC I was basically guildless until around 6 months before wotlk release. I joined "The Muppets". I heard they were falling apart and "Mortanius" was trying to build it up again. I remember when leveling my paladin I spoke with a guy in "The Muppets" he was talking about how good it was so I thought I should give it a try at 70. When I reached 70 I heard from him the guild disbanded so I gave it up at that time. In wotlk I had my druid as my main and rushed to 80 (I was the first lvl 80 Tauren actually). Once at 80 I did some heroics waiting for the guild to lvl up. I noticed really early they were kind of slow. Since it also is a casual raiding guild and more of a social guild I decided to try my luck in a hardcore guild. I applied to morrigan and a few days later I got accepted as a trial. Soon after I joined I noticed there was something going on in the guild. There was a lot of drama and within two weeks in the guild 2 really kind and good (skillful) guys left. I spoke a bit with them and they both had the same reason for leaving. Raids was always easy in there, but soon I noticed I didnīt enjoy raiding anymore. I didnīt like how the GM/officers acted in the guild. We had a few ppl who agreed and left the guild to start another guild. I left without saying much in the guild chat. I was going to make a post on the forum the next day (we left during the night so I thought it would be best to do it during the day) but I was removed from the forum. I regret the way I left and wish I could change it. Anyway, we formed "Redrum Inc". I donīt like saying it, but it failed, hard. Therefor I left the guild and took a break from raiding.
Reasons for Applying
Yesterday I had this feeling, Iīve only done some PvPing for a while now and I miss raiding, a lot. I donīt like casual raiding guilds, I like raiding so much I want to join a hardcore raiding guild. PoC I hear only good things about and since you need a Holy Paladin it suits me fine since I love paladins. (I regret I had my druid as my main in wotlk).
Raiding Experience
Sadly I didnīt raid much in TBC so my list isnīt very long from there.
Karazhan - Cleared
Zul'aman - Cleared
Gruul's Lair - Cleared
Magtheridon's Lair - Cleared
Serpentshrine Cavern - Hydross, The lurker and Morogrim (All after the nerf)
Mount Hyjal - First boss only
My goals is to clear it all. In TBC I didnīt reach far at all, I just love the feeling when you down a new boss and especially the last boss, you get a really nice feeling.
Wotlk: (With druid)
Naxx - Cleared
OS - Cleared
VoA - Cleared
Eye of eternity - Tried with morrigan
Your Role
My role as a Holy Paladin is to keep the MT and OT or Raid up using Beacon of Light and spamming FoL or HL depending on the damage they take. As mentioned before my gear is very bad, but I ask you to not think about gear, but if I could be useful in the guild once my gear is better. With a bit of luck I will get the items I need from heroics after a few runs in each instance. As a Paladin I also bring useful raid buffs, auras and judgements. Depending on the fight I either keep "Seal of Light" or "Seal of Wisdom" up on the boss, on longer boss fights I keep "Seal of Wisdom" up so my healing spells cost 5% less mana. On shorter boss fights I usually keep Judgement of Light up so the tank will have a chance of gaining a little health back (everything counts) and for the 5% healing increased from my glyph. I use the major glyphs "Glyph of Seal of Light", "Glyph of Seal of Wisdom" and "Glyph of Holy Light" and the minor glyphs "Glyph of Cleansing", "Glyph of Divinity" and "Glyph of Flash of Light". The glyph "Glyph of Holy Light" I found useful because it does a bit of a "splash" healing which helps a weakness Paladin has. (The other 2 major glyphs I explained above :). "Glyph of Flash of Light" what can I say, 5% more crit, it is just awesome. "Glyph of Divinity" is a useful glyph. Lay on Hands got 20 minute CD and thanks to the glyph I will gain mana when casting it. Instant cast, a large heal and free mana? Again, just awesome imo :P. "Glyph of Cleansing" reduces my Cleanse and Purify spells by 20% not "awesome" but it is okay. Now to the gems...I use the Meta gem "Insightful Earthsiege Diamond" It gives me 21+ Intellect (the best stat for Holy Paladins) and chance to restore mana. Not much to say, it is the best Meta gem for Holy Paladins. In yellow slots I use the gem "Brilliant Autumn's Glow" it gives 16+ intellect as mentioned before, the best stat for me so no reason to use any other gem really in that slot. In red slots I use "Luminous Monarch Topaz". It gives 9+ spell power and 8+ intellect. I chose not to go for the 19+ spell power gem since I find intellect more useful. In blue slots I use "Lustrous Sky Sapphire" which gives me 6mp5. I use this since the "Divine Plea" nerf. I now find Mp5 useful again. (The "Divine Plea" nerf they changed the healing reduced from 20% to 50%). My current build is 53/0/18. The most common Holy build I think and the best imo. Since I recently respecced from Retribution I havenīt had time to fix my UI just yet.
Personal Information
My name is Robin and I am 16 years old (17 in August). I spoke with "Suplicium" and he told me you have this 18 year old "rule". I wish this wonīt stop me though, I am not an immature teenager and I hope by this application you won't think of me as a kid, but more of an adult. I live in a small village called "Veberöd" in Sweden. I donīt study atm since I got tired of school (didnīt have the energy to study) so I got 2 internships (I think itīs the translation of "praktikplats" :p) on a gym and a small grocery store. I plan to begin studying again in August. Iīve played WoW since TBC came out and I donīt plan on stop playing anytime soon. Iīve tried Warhammer Online but I didnīt like it at all, not after WoW at least. That was all from me. Thanks for reading my application and I hope you liked it :).
