My gear is obviously not imba, but it's quite fair. The belt doesn't show the Eternal Belt Buckle and the third +19SP gem.

I don't have PvP gear, since locks in PvP is a futile endeavour.

Playing Times
My played time for the entire last year says an average of 4 hours every single day, which honestly is a bit scary. I'll be able to raid 3-4 days a week, and normally I start about 20:30-02ish. I'll be able to push it to 20:00 for raids though.

I don't have any other hobbies than my wife and three sons, but they do require a little TLC once in a blue moon.

Previous Guilds
I was in a few levelling guilds to start with (Started wow december 2007), and joined Naga for my first raiding experience. Naga was a great social guild, we did decent progress, but the guild totally fell apart after WotLK. In Naga I was very active both in raids and in the forum, and top DPS until the infamous patch (3.0.3) launched.
I joined Redrum inc this december, we started raiding last week (13/15 in Naxx) and I got promoted to officer this saturday. sadly a lot of core people left sunday and monday and the GM called to disband the guild.

Reasons for Applying
The reason for finding a new guild is obviously the disband of Redrum. The reason for applying to PoC partly because of your great reputation, partly because I know a member who spoke well about you (Viperaberous) and lastly because I've done many pugs with PoC members and they're always great players.

Another thing is the fact that I play WoW for raids. I love the teamwork, the comradery and usually the depraved and perverted chat going on while doing so. Another thing, I don't mind hard fights and wipefests, if everyone do their very best.

Raiding Experience
I started playing mid-TBC, so no vanilla for me.

TBC:
Kara clear
Gruul clear
Maggie clear
ZA clear
TK (2/4)
SSC (5/6)
MH (4/5) (Archimonde is a real ...)
BT (6/11) (did Illidan as lvl 80, so that doesn't really count, but it got me a trinket which is still very useful)
SWP only a single try

WotLK
Naxx 10 (14/15 only four horsemen I haven't done)
Naxx25 (6/15)
VoA10 and 25 cleared
OS10 and 25 cleared

Most of the end content I achieved with pugs with Jugganaut and the night raiding channel, from where I also know some PoC'ers attended. I would have joined the Nightraiders guild if it wasn't for their extremely late raid hours.

Your Role
I'm a lock, I curse stuff and then nuke it to hell. (WWS parse from a late Redrum run (http://wowwebstats.com/gt6vdmqg26ibi))
Locks have a few curses to choose from:

Agony is pure DPS. Used when the raid has better buffs available through ele shamans and boomkins.
Elements: 13% extra spell damage on target when talented. Used when there's more spellcasters and no boomkin.
Tongues. increase cast time by 60%. Sadly all bosses are immune to this, otherwise it would be a real boss killer.
Recklessness. Decreases mob armor and stacks with other debuffs. When you have melee DPS (or hunters) in the raid, and Elements is not needed.
Doom. not used anymore.

Generally, I look at a raid to see which curse is right, and I coordinate with other locks if there are more in the raid. It really is a matter of math, since a debuff takes away Agony, so it must upweigh this loss in DPS.

My pets also have minor boons. The Felhunter can decurse, the Felguard can intercept at critical times (healer is attacked), Doomguard provides good overall DPS and Infernals are great finishers on boss fights.

Oh, and my role as portable summoning stone requires me to keep a full bag of shards. Has helped more than one raid to continue...

Talents
Currently I'm afflic (53/0/18). I like the complex rotation and the great damage potential. I've specced into Malediction to boost Curse of Elements.

Other options are (0/51/20) for a raid wide buff of 10% SP, in case the raid doesn't have a shaman (takes a loss in peronal DPS). (0/41/30) for Felguard, easy rotation and good daamage potential. I haven't used destro since 0/21/40.

I always look for improvements to my build by reading forums, primarily Elitist Jerks. I like the math, and it has given me an excellent tool to deduct my performance from WWS parses. If you look at the above parse on Patchwerk, you'll see I don' have stellar DPS, but my rotation has very good uptimes for my DoTs (97% on corruption), so it is currently a matter of gearing up for me.

Add ons
Obviously Omen. If nothing else, this is a must have. Recount to see my performance.

Less obvious:
Miks Scrolling Battle Text. This is a god sent for afflic locks. I have set up custom warnings for my spells, so I get warnings when I need to use Drain Soul, DoTs wear off and Haunt is ready.

Forte_Warlock. A very nice set of tools tailored for locks, including spell timer, stone management and summoning helpers

I don't have a boss fight screenshot and I can't really make one without a raiding guild... :-(

Personal Information
I'm a 31 year old human being from Denmark, wife and three sons, a dog and a cat. My characters name is not a coincidence, since I work as a consultant making data warehouses and large databases.

All of the above is just dry facts. I have a great sense of humor, albeit a bit depraved and a lot perverted. I have enough social skill to tone it down to my surroundings, so if you have a less liberal attitude towards some subjects, I won't go there. I can take heat for the occasional stupidity, and I dish it out very well too. :-)

0/31/40 is the way if are not deep affliction

Which is a destro build and one I haven't used. For demo builds 0/41/30 would be the best personal build.

And seeing how the number crunching shows huge variations in "the best build" depending alot on the gear status, I'd be hesitant to call out any single build as being the one and only.

what's up with the shoulder enchant, and with that I mean the "effort" put into the hodir daily for the best shoulder enchant ingame (not looking at inscrib).. Surely by now you've had the the time to hit exalted once if not twice.

Well, I haven't hit exhalted yet, and I still "pwn joo", as I believe the kids say these days.

While we don't mind non-officers or non-class coordinators asking questions of potential recruits on the forum, please try to keep your questions pertinent and relevant. Frivolous or aggressive posts such as these are not welcome, and in fact will be deleted without warning from now on. We have warned guildies of this in the past, and while I appreciate you care enough about PoC to make sure only the very best get in, the quality of someones shoulder enchant comes pretty far down the list in priority. What concerns us more is an applicants personality, experience and availability, to name but a few factors. If you have such minor concerns in future, feel free to point it out to an officer in a pm, rather than nitpicking at an applicant publicly. It's like nails down a blackboard to me.
