hey gus who do and do not remember me from Pre-BC.

im an oldy :)

infact so old i think only one in a very few will remember me at all, one of those being narlax as we are irl friends.

i used to play in poc on a hunter called manderin, i levelled from 8 to.... around 53 on him in poc and rejoined when you guys just started BWL as an occasional raider when required. including taking the odd lesson from Lonepilgrim in BWL. shortly after BC came out my account was comprimised an 'for the safety of WoW' permenatley banned. goodbye poc.... but i kept an eye on you guys, just narlax how much interest i took in your raids, who got loot, who joined/left poc, etc.

since then ive been drifting around in cyber space from realm to realm not really doing much, cleared kara, gruuls,ZA, ssc upto vashj, and cleared good old TK on my newly created restodrood.

and infact i was even considering applying to poc a few months ago but who knew my bank would go and do something stupid and cancell a payment to blizzard, officially banning all card transactions on the account and therefor no x-fer for me (doh!)

well here's the thing. i havent done anywhere near the kind of raiding i would have liked in BC, due to exams and a rather active social life. but thats all changed now im out of college and i was wondering, what do you guys think of the chances of me levelling a character on RT, and applying to poc again when im 80 after wotlk has hit, rejoining the ranks and getting down to some serious raiding. ive spoken to a few people that knew me pre bc in poc and they have all basically said you might as well give it a go. i was just wondering what you other guys though of my chances :)

but thats basically it. and i know since bc you guys have progressed exponentially and the chances of some guy with thread-thin connections with the guild being allowed a chance to join are ridiculasly low, im of course willing to proove myself when the time comes,

this is just a heads up. im comming for you... i hope

Hey there :)
Call me crazy but I do remember a Mandarin altho I wasnt in PoC back then.
As a newbee I agree nothing really compares to this guild, cant blame you wanting to come back!
Sorry to hear about the damned hackers, thats no way to have an account closed >.<

I wish you the best of luck getting in, we might get to know each other in WotLK then

Greetings,
Andjena

P.S. I dont know wich class would be needed at lvl 80 but I have a feeling it wont be a deathknight... Mage or druid perhaps?

It's a gamble, because although there is the gear reset it is also impossible to predict what classes we will need, and you might end up picking the wrong one. Also, to put you ahead of other potential applicants you'd have to level to 80 pretty fast and grab some items to give an indication of how serious you were, otherwise there'd be no way of knowing how committed you were going to be to your new character - we'd be recruiting blind.

But, if you are serious about it, and do go all out with levelling a new char specifically to apply, that would look pretty good on an application. As for what class, well druid is fairly safe due to all the possible specs, deathknight maybe... I can't be any more specific.

thanks for the comments guys, and im very happy to hear that my task is not one that has been deemed impossible.

Andjena i cant personally say i remember a character of that name, but pre BC i was also a guild leader of a small guild called untamed that cleared AQ20 and ZG and a bit of MC :P, as well as a raider in the guild nothing decent (:S) and nameless army. if that helps?

back to class type:

well i know narlax is intent on being a DK at wotlk, and as irl friends we would probally be playing together quite alot, and DK+DK =2DK's..... and i have no idea what that would be like :D

at the moment i am considering shaman, but ofc im reading as much as i can on the forums and typically all the shamans are whinning at the moment ( no offence to you shammies out there) so its very hard to get a relatively accurate impression on what they will be like come wotlk, ( in my case probally as a resto shaman) as they are very pre-occupied on nerfs at the moment, but a assume it will stay very much the same.

druids are great and i do enjoy them but after levelling two to 70 i think it will take alot of will power to go through that haulage again.

i am a healer, i dont really find anything in raids as fun as healing, apart from possibly tanking. i like the variability compared to set dps cycles per encounter.(personal oppinion, and in no way am i saying that dps positions are in any way inferior or 'easier')

so paladin, priest, shaman and druid are probally my most favoured choices. however i do like the play style of mages in raids. fb spam ftw. ( jks :P)

i appologise for the tendancy to go into essay mode, i think it comes from my natural ability to ramble on and on for hours :)

Hmmm I got a question then; if you miss a payment, Blizz will force you to use other means of payment (like a gamecard) to keep your account active, so I'm not entirely clear on why you can no longer access that account?
Anyway, you can apply at Blizz to revert the changes in payment, if you can show them that the bank made a mistake.

your question is fair enough, and for mostly i believe you mistaken. i have full access to the account in question, just the ability to transfer characters via payed x-fer, or to regtister a visa on the account has been prohibited. and yes the account is at the moment being run on 60 day cards. but there is no way to get my new druid off magtheridon onto runetotem.

and i even contacted blizzard@paymentsupport.com but i got a little confused during filling out the form and gave the wrong card number, because of this, the suspension on cards was turned into a permanent ban for security reasons. ill forward you the email i recieved from blizzard below this post, to clarify:

Hello,
We regret to inform you that credit card payments for the account named D*******O have been restricted. For security reasons, we will not be able to accept any credit card transactions related to this account from today.
Please note your account itself has not been closed. You can pay for your subscription by using pre paid game cards, further information can be found here: http://www.wow-europe.com/en/requirements/subscription.html

i hope this helps.

Yes that clears things up, sucks mate.
Aside from Visa cards, can't you pay by direct debit also? or was that option terminated along with the credit card?

I had some issues with Blizzard Billing Dept., but was always able to clear it up through phone calls. They're not big evil trolls sitting around in dark caverns, mugging everyone who goes near - they are actually (almost) normal people like you and me, and will usually listen to reason.

I'm sure you could get your account back to being fully functional if you go get a new, working card and then take a chat them.

Good luck with it.

i'm not sure if it's just me but it seems that blizzard are becoming more customer friendly to it users, like has been said from evil trolls, to people that are undersatnading that the customer comes... maybe not first but atleast second.

good luck if you try it again

thanks for all the support with the account issue. well theres abosutley no harm in trying, so ill give them a call on monday and see if they have a change in heart.

although even if they do im unsure wether or not i would move the character, as the idea is ill be levelling with a good friend of mine, and although eng-game content is impressive, id personally like to sit back and relax, and enjoy more of the games content like i used to, and then get back into the raiding etc after wotlk hits. hopefully with a guild that enjoys itself, is helpful, well managed and prepared to go that extra mile, not for themselves, but for a benefits of the entire group. and from my personal experience, poc fits that category more than most, and i'd be lieing if i said your raid progress isnt impressive, but i can honestly say thats not really what im about, its just the cherry on the cake (that and the chance to play with two good friends, one of which is off to university soon and so ill see even less of (narlax). )

the guild i played with on maggy, although not pushing the boundries of end-game experience, were very intent on their goals, too much so if i dont mind saying, there was no enjoyment in their raids. no odd joke at an unfortunate mistake someone made, just a warning 'dont fuck up again like that or you're out.... uhh mistakes happen?! and although raiding with them was 'enjoyable' it kind of removed some of the things that got me into wow in the first place, which was first and fore most, a way to socialise with people id not normally come into contact with, enjoy myself, help and achieve things with other people and play wih friends that i dont see that often, narlax being a prime example. and i havent even been on the same sever as him for over a year.

so im basically going to treat this as a new start, and a re-boot/re-install to my wow career. (not literally obviously, i refuse to have to DL all those patches again xD)

so we'll see how it goes. havent manage to create the char yet as my friends having some internet issues at the moment, but i should be around on RT on the new char syrul any time soon!

for those of you who dont know me, my real names mawgan edwards, im 18 and live in the uk. just finished my a levels, im not off to university, as hope to join the police instead, mainly to go on a crusade against the hordes of chavs that have infested my country!!

im relatively sporty, very socially orientated..... good looking and single ;) hah

p.s. i do have tendancy to go off on rather large tangents some times, sorry for all the riff raff :P

Hey mate,

I never had the pleasure to meet you, I don't have an attention span large enough to read all the previous messages.... But your signature is brilliant enough to let you in on my account!

Good luck!
