To those in PoC that know me. I am in need of your advice.
After floating around the PC game world for a year, I still haven't found anything to match warcraft. I am fed up with completing games in relatively short periods, and really want the longer term/ human interaction elements that warcraft offers.
Coming back to the game for me, isn't as straightforward as it might seem though. So I thought I'd see what my freinds would say on the following, and hopefully your responses will help me decide.
1. Would my character still exist after all this time or would blizz delete it (Its been the best part of 12 months)?
2. Is the next expansion close to release? If so I might wait for that. I don't have the original discs, I gave them away, so I would have to buy the complete set. Hopefully they would do a box set or something.
3. If my old char still exists, how hard would it be to play the game from a naked character i.e. no weapons or gear etc. and get to a raiding level again - impossible? Would I be better off rolling a new one?
4. Am I mad for even thinking of returning....it was very addictive (to an unhealthy level) and though I would like to think I could be a casual player, I have the will power of Comalies in a cake shop.
5. If I did return, I would love it if my old mates invited me for a small instance every so often? Do you still do that sort of stuff? I don't think I'd have a hope of getting back into PoC having seen how many people try and fail, but having a laugh with friends would be THE biggest reason for returning.
