Karathress & Co Wipe on PoC –
fail to down them before their enrage!
Well, it’s been a bad week for us here at Karathress & Co. But before I tell you why, let me first provide a little background to our short history.
Karathress & Co are a very small guild – just myself, Tidal (shaman), Cari (priest) and Sharky (hunter), , we have been active in raid instances for just a few months now, and truth be told, we don’t do much except hang around in our guild hall, enjoying watching the slow, relentless shufflings of the nearby Underbog Colossi. However, a couple of weeks ago we had our 1st taste of raiding when a pack of creatures named ‘Protectors of Chaos’ suddenly arrived in our hall, one or two seeming ‘captains’ barking orders in their strange tongue.
Now before I continue, let me assure you that we had no problem defeating this encounter quite a few times, on three separate evenings of attempts. They would turn up, we would stick to our tried and tested tactics and we would eventually prevail, downing this ‘PoC’ with no problems whatsoever, they would eventually seem to reluctantly retreat when a fresh batch of Colossi would arrive to entertain us once more (we really like watching them!).
However last night something was different in this raid encounter, ‘PoC’ seemed a bit more buff, moved more coherently and really hit us like they meant it. Not only that, but to my horror ‘PoC’ appeared to ENRAGE at around the 3 minute mark! Needless to say, for the first time, ‘PoC’ were the ones who owned us, and they did it comfortably too!
I had never heard of this raid encounter having an enrage timer, and I have been trolling the forums for strats for PoC, but nowhere does it mention such an ability. Did they get buffed in the last patch I wonder? Bosskillers doesn’t even list them so I have no idea where to go from here to find a tactic for beating this. I even pm’d Morogrim Tidewalker but he hasn’t attempted PoC yet, all he would say is ‘I see them run by every now and again, and all I’ve managed so far is swatting one of their elites named ‘Bruticus’’. Well he was no help. So it’s back to the drawing board for Karathress & Co.

P.S. Karathress and Co are looking to recruit more priests, shamans and hunters, we get the feeling we will be going through a few in the coming months…
