Today Protectors of Chaos poured oil on the troubled waters that is Hydross The Unstable, simultaneously getting our foot firmly in the door of Serpentshrine Cavern, and also achieving our First Ever Horde First! The intention was always to tackle this effort-intensive resistance fight as our first kill in this raid instance, some said Bruticus (our feared GM and Raid Leader) was insane to insist on it, some just thought he had been at the Ghost Mushrooms a bit too much, while still others saw the method in his madness. So into the Outland the disciples of PoC flew, farming primals, nethers and reputation for the necessary very strict resistance numbers that successfully downing this oversized water balloon would take.
Due to the overwhelming response by the whole guild, both raiders and non-raiders alike, our tanks were set, and looking FUGLY as all-hell. Final attunements were squared off, tactics drawn up, and myriad potions and flasks brewed in the backstreets of Shattrath until finally our raid force stood hungry and expectant before that waterfall in Coilfang Reservior.
I wont go into the fight itself in detail (we don’t want to spoil any surprises for guilds working towards getting a raid force in these ) but needless to say, with the best laid plans of mice and menwalls and all that, we had to start revising the minutae of our plan (the devil, as they always say, is in the detail) until we got to the stage where we executed flawlessly *cough*. And Hydross became the first boss in SSC to feel the Tauren hoof upon his neck on Runetotem!

Some less generous observers may point out that for us, Magtheridon is still a challenge to be defeated, but at the moment he is an empty tick box to us, while a whole new raid instance has been cracked open, ready to disgorge it’s lovely purple goodness onto us, with (I hope) challenges, fun, and excitement in equal measure.

Raithlin - So you’ve been with PoC a while now, how are you finding it?
Deadly - From the very start of my new adventure in PoC I already knew that in the guild there’s a lot of people that know what to do and when to do it (most people that is, don’t count Semos in...he’s a cow)
Raithlin - Yeah Semos suxxors, how DOES PoC compare to other guilds you think?
Deadly - atm the only guild I can see as rivalling PoC is BL (only for first kills, I really like the people in there... hi Pingu and Azael!)
Raithlin - So your Italian...
Deadly - Sure I'm...Capisciii :)
Raithlin - Gwyn tells me your not and that your a Russian spy, is this true?
Deadly - Well atm in Italy ppl see Red Spies everywhere... so I think this is normal...and btw, don’t trust Gwyn, she only trying to lead Barnetto away from the epix he deserves…
Raithlin - What do you think about the new alliance for outdoor bosses with BL?
Deadly - Well what we did yesterday is just a demonstration that skilled guilds and friendly ones can easily work together and make trash of their targets, its a thing I've heard of in the old times but it never happened. Now its a reality and I can only bow to Bruticus and Kilgrim and the other officers who worked to make it happen
Raithlin - How are you finding BC in general?
Deadly - At the very start it was a mess! lots of angry ppl blasting poor mobs in hellfire, not fun for mobs I guess :) Then there were a lot of hard hits in instances pre-pre-pre nerf (thx to SL assassins and BM mobs for those insane repair bills). Then things got better, Karazhan is a stroll in the park (thanks Blizz for Netherspite's door...really thanks), poor Gruul is sealed in his cave and well...we have some things to sort out with Vashj and her minions, but it’s only a matter of time.
Raithlin - What’s the best thing for you about BC?
Deadly - Well we have so much content, Black Temple and Hyjal are in, and its a must-see to see Archimonde and Illidan at work :)
Raithlin - And the worst thing?
Deadly - Well I have to say I like most things in the expansion, but if you ask me its the single capital for both horde and alliance and lack of travelling around.
Raithin – Last questions, do you think you could beat up Gwyn in a fight?
Deadly – Pffft sure :)
Raithlin – And anyone you couldn’t beat up?
Deadly – Semos in bear form, even tho hes a nub
